What does a TMS session feel like?

How is accelerated TMS different from standard TMS?
Accelerated TMS uses the FDA-cleared intermittent theta-burst (iTBS) protocol, which delivers a session in a few minutes, and for eligible patients schedules several sessions per day over a shorter number of days. Your psychiatrist will discuss whether a standard or accelerated schedule fits your situation.
Do I have to stop my antidepressant to start TMS?
Usually not. TMS is commonly added to an existing medication plan. Your psychiatrist reviews every medication at your evaluation and tells you what, if anything, should change.
